AusCycling is delighted to let you know we will be running a 1 Day Women's MTB Skills Clinic, which will allow women with limited experience to develop their skills in a supportive and positive environment.

Current AusCycling and Non AusCycling members welcome.



GENERAL INFORMATION

This course is made possible through funding from SPORTAUS allowing AusCycling to discount entry to the course along with personal accident insurance.


The 1 Day MTB Skills program will cover beginner MTB Skills, along with basic maintenance, tips and information on where to ride and people to ride with.


Topics such as the ones listed below could be covered

*   Stopping and starting like a Pro

*   Moving your body around your bike

*   Brake control

*   Carving corners

*   Wheel Lifts



PARTICIPANT INFORMATION 

Participants will need to bring the following items for use during the course  

*   MTB bike including helmet
*   Sneakers / Close toed shoes
*   Water
*   Snacks

*   Sense of Adventure


PRE-COURSE INFORMATION

In the lead up to each session each participant will be emailed with information regarding where to go including a map, start/finish times, what to bring etc.


You will be asked to complete an online survey as part of the evaluation of the Move it Aus grant program. The survey should take about 15 minutes to compete. Your participation is voluntary and all responses are confidential.


AusCycling reserves the right to cancel/postpone/modify the program, due to inclement weather which makes the program impractical or unsafe to run.Participants will be contacted by email and/or phone if necessary.

COVID-19 INFORMATION

AusCycling has been working towards ensuring we are ready to recommence delivering well-prepared courses in a safe, responsible and low risk manner.  


  • As such we will be asking participants to follow COVID-19 Safe Practices, such as:

  • Staying at home if you or someone in your family is unwell

  • Using alcohol based hand sanitisers

  • Where possible maintain physical distancing.

  • Minimising the sharing of equipment

  • Covering your coughs and sneezes with your elbow or a tissue
